serial_midi_server

serial_midi_server (SMS) provide MIDI port for serial port and universal serial bus (USB) MIDI device. It isn't a driver, but just a server type application.

SMS: serail port add-on

This add-on supports serial port MIDI devices, such as Roland SC-88, YAMAHA MU100, etc. Macintosh version of BeOS come with MIDI driver for serial port. If you use BeOS on Macintosh hardware, you don't need it.

This add-on is a proxy for old days BMidiSynth. If you have no hardware MIDI device, you should use InternalMIDI by Pecora.

Add-on for YAMAHA USB-MIDI Products, such as UX256, MU1000, MU2000. (I think MU1000 and MU2000 aren't available outside Japan yet.) I test this add-on with MU2000 only.

KMidiLevelMeter

Simple level meter like application. Click on KMidiLevelMeter window, you can assign MIDI input port with popup menu.

• Drop image file onto KMidiLevelMeter window: change foreground and background bitmap
• Drop image file with Control key: change background bitmap
• Drop image file with ALT key: change foreground bitmap
• ALT-B: clear bitmap

KMidiMixer

Simple Midi Mixer like application. You can control some MIDI ControlChange -- Volume, Expression and others. KMidiMixer has 17 sliders. 16 sliders are for each MIDI channel. Right most slider is for Master Volume.

Each 16 channel slider has check box. It's a mute/solo switch. Just click makes each box ON/OFF. Alt-click makes clicked box ON and others OFF. Option-click makes clicked box OFF and others ON. (MOTU Performer fashion)

You can change Background Bitmap. Just drop any image file onto KMidiMixer window. ALT-B clear Background Bitmap.
