It's for BeOS 5 (non-BONE system). This patch is based on Jake Hamby's wget 1.5.2 patch.

  1. Get original wget 1.7 source code
  2. tar zxvf wget-1.7.tar.gz
  3. cd wget-1.7
  4. cat .../wget-1.7-beos.patch | patch -p1
  5. ./configure --prefix=/boot/home/config
  6. make
  7. make install
